It seems the Cowboys are tired of Bryant's inconsistency on returns. He has trouble catching them on a consistent basis and he makes poor decisions when he does. He's a talented player, and when he gets blocking up front positive plays can be made.
On the season, Bryant has 12 punt returns for just 66 yards. His longest return was for 44 yards.
It would appear Beasley is the man for the gig, at least for now, especially after playing just three special teams snaps Sunday.
"I don’t want to make any definitive statements about how we’re going to use guys," coach Jason Garrett said Monday. "Certainly, the play he had yesterday in the ballgame was not a good play for our football team. That obviously changed the field position. They were on the minus-19 to get the ball on the plus-15 is a huge swing. We’ve got to take care of the football on offense. We’ve got to go get the ball on defense. And we certainly have to do that on special teams as well. That was not a good play for us."
