Jason Garrett's parents dealing with Sandy

IRVING, Texas -- Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said his parents are doing fine but have not returned to their home in Monmouth Beach, N.J. after they vacated it because of Hurricane Sandy.

"A ton of sand, I think they said four-feet of sand on Ocean Ave.," Garrett said Wednesday morning. "They actually did OK, relatively speaking. Obviously it's a real tragedy and so many different people are trying to dig out of their situations. So I'm quite sure the people up there are going to rally together. It seems like the leadership is great and they'll bounce back."

The Cowboys have several players from the New York/New Jersey area, including wide receiver Miles Austin (Garfield, N.J.), Phil Costa (Moorestown, N.J.), Sean Lissemore (Dumont, N.J.) and Kevin Ogletree (Queens, N.Y.).

"It seems like everybody is doing OK," Garrett said when asked about other players' relatives in regards to the storm.
