Orie Lemon placed on injured reserve

IRVING, Texas – The Cowboys have placed Orie Lemon on injured reserve with a hamstring injury to make room for linebacker Gary Guyton on the active roster.

Lemon was hurt on special teams in Sunday’s loss at Atlanta. With Lemon out and Dan Connor fighting a stinger, the Cowboys had a need for inside linebacker depth. Guyton played for New England from 2008-11, starting 32 games with 4.5 sacks and three interceptions. He went to training camp with Miami.

Lemon was called up from the practice squad Sept. 22 and was credited with four special teams tackles and four defensive stops in four games.
