Nate Livings: 'This is my week'

IRVING, Texas -- Cowboys starting left guard Nate Livings missed practice on Thursday with a right knee injury. Livings wouldn't say what specifically is wrong with the knee, but he wants to play badly on Sunday.

Here's why: Livings spent six seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cowboys' opponent on Sunday, and wasn't re-signed in the offseason. Instead, Livings signed a five-year $18.7 million deal with the Cowboys. Livings hasn't spoken extensively with reporters this week about what it means to play against his former team because he's been getting treatment for his knee issue.

"This is my week," Livings said as he headed to the trainers room on Thursday.

Derrick Dockery replaced Livings on the first-team offensive line during Thursday's practice and would start if necessary unless the Cowboys go in a different direction.

When asked would he practice on Friday, Livings said, "I don't know."
