Dez Bryant attends practice

IRVING, Texas -- Cowboys practice on Thursday had former coach Barry Switzer attend and he was able to see wide receiver Dez Bryant make an appearance.

Bryant is expected to be limited in practice as he tries to catch a pass with a fractured left index finger. During the open portion of practice to the media, Bryant lined up to receive a pass, but the horn blew signaling it was time for the team stretching period.

Bryant wore a white glove on his left hand as he trotted out to practice.

Running back DeMarco Murray (foot), cornerback Morris Claiborne (concussion and lip), safety Charlie Peprah (foot) and guard Nate Livings participated in practice that the media was allowed to see.

For Peprah it's a return to practice after missing the last two games with a foot injury.

Nose tackle Jay Ratliff (groin) and outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware (elbow) did not attend the practice session. Ratliff isn't expected to play in Sunday's game against Pittsburgh but Ware is.
