IRVING, Texas – When the Cowboys got ready for last January’s NFC East title game against the New York Giants, Tony Romo had to play with a bruised hand that required a pain-killing injection before kickoff.
“I don’t want to go back into that,” Romo said.
In 2008 when they were playing for a wild-card spot at Philadelphia, Romo had a bruised back but played.
He enters Sunday’s NFC East title game against Washington feeling as good as possible, despite taking 34 sacks this year.
“It’s good to feel that your body feels all right at this time of year,” Romo said. “You don’t always get that. I feel lucky to be in that position.”
