Ware, Romo left off Pro Football Focus' top 101

DeMarcus Ware is coming off his sixth consecutive season with double-digit sacks, and Tony Romo recently signed a six-year extension worth more than $100 million.

Don't forget Romo's deal guarantees him more cash -- $55 million -- than Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco, last season's Super Bowl MVP.

Pro Football Focus, among the leading analytic NFL sites, doesn’t think either of Jerry Jones’ cornerstone players is that good.

PFF recently ranked its top 101 players in the NFL. Neither Ware nor Romo made the list.

The Buffalo Bills, who haven’t made the playoffs in the new millennium, had three of the NFL’s top 25 players. Your Cowboys? Jason Witten was their top player at No. 62.

The others were Anthony Spencer, PFF’s top-ranked outside linebacker in the 3-4 defense at No. 66 overall. Defensive end Jason Hatcher was No. 77 and receiver Dez Bryant, perhaps the NFL’s most dynamic player the second half of last season, was No. 96.

No other Cowboys made the list.

Just so you know, Romo was PFF’s 11th-ranked quarterback and Ware was its 11th-ranked outside linebacker in the 3-4.
