The Dallas Cowboys open a three-day rookie minicamp Friday at Valley Ranch. We offer a preview:
What if it rains? The Cowboys don't have a practice bubble. However, if Thursday afternoon's rain didn't soak the field too bad, expect the Cowboys' rookies and some second-year players to be attendance at Valley Ranch. If there is rain, the Cowboys will move the practices either to Cowboys Stadium or an area high school. All practices are closed to the public.
Who's coming? Travis Frederick, Gavin Escobar, J.J. Wilcox, Terrance Williams, B.W. Webb, Joseph Randle, DeVonte Holloman, Everett Daniels, Darrin Moore, Jesse Smitherman, B.J. Stewart, Anthony Amos, James Nelson, Tremayne Scott, Jerome Long, Nick Johnson, DiMetrio Tyson, D.J. Hall, Micah James, Adrien Spencer, Brandon Magee, Dalton Williams, Jakar Hamilton, Kendial Lawrence, Devin Smith, Dustin Harris, Cameron Lawrence, Greg Herd, Paul Freedman, Tank Reed, Jeff Heath, Spencer Benton, Eric Rogers, Xavier Brewer and Deon Lacey, Ronald Leary, Tim Benford, Charlie Bryant, Aderious Simmons, Jared Green, Nick Stephens, Charley Hughlett, Monte Taylor, Ikponwmosa Igbinosun and Micah Pellerin.
Who is hurt? The only known injury is to running back Joseph Randle, the fifth-round pick out of Oklahoma State who is wearing a brace over his hand. Most, if not all, of the other players are healthy. Wide receiver Danny Coale is also attending but he's not expected to practice as he's still recovering from knee surgery.
