Danny Coale misses practice with swollen knee

OXNARD, Calif. -- Cowboys backup wide receiver Danny Coale missed Tuesday's walkthrough practice with a swollen left knee. Coale said the knee acted up on him following Sunday's first training camp practice.

Coale, who spent the 2012 season on the practice squad, underwent surgery for a torn ACL on the same knee last November.

"I expected this," Coale said of the swelling. "It's been a little over seven months from the surgery and you expect this. This isn't something I wanted to happen."

Coale said he's not sure if he'll undergo a MRI, but team doctors indicated there is nothing wrong structurally with the knee.

"Hopefully we'll get ahead of it," Coale said. "It's day-to-day, hour-to-hour, morning-to-morning."

Cowboys defensive lineman Ike Igbinosun missed the Tuesday session with an lower leg injury. Igbinosun is wearing a protective boot.

Igbinosun becomes the fourth defensive linemen to go down in training camp, joining Jay Ratliff (hamstring), Anthony Spencer (knee surgery) and Tyrone Crawford (torn Achilles). Crawford is out for the season and Spencer should be out two-to-four weeks. Ratliff's return is uncertain.
