OXNARD, Calif. -- The Cowboys finish up two days worth of practices and will leave for Oakland on Thursday afternoon.
Just a walk: This is a walkthrough practice and is closed to the fans. The Cowboys will go over some situational things such as kneel downs, third-down plays and special teams. The players won't wear helmets and pads and will work at half-speed.
Who's going to play Friday?: Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, Jason Witten, Jason Hatcher, DeMarcus Ware, Brandon Carr, Barry Church, Will Allen -- roughly all the starters should make their debuts against the Oakland Raiders. Last week, tackles Tyron Smith and Doug Free, along with linebacker Justin Durant, played against the Miami Dolphins. The starters will play one or two series and coach Jason Garrett will get them out of there.
Who's not going to play?: Wide receiver Terrance Williams (concussion) and cornerback Morris Claiborne (knee) are doubtful for the game. Linebacker Alex Albright (back) and guard/center Ryan Cook (back) could be held out as well.
Debuts, debuts, debuts: The interior of the Cowboys offensive line is a hot topic around here. The projected starting center/guards heading into training camp have changed. The new projected starting center/guards are Ronald Leary at left guard, Travis Frederick at center and Mackenzy Bernadeau at right guard. Frederick is doing a good job with his line calls, and he's very quick when he needs to reach the second level in the run game.
What's left?: After today's walkthrough, the Cowboys have five more scheduled practices before leaving for Phoenix for the final road preseason game on Aug. 17.
