Cowboys work out running backs

IRVING, Texas -- With running back Lance Dunbar undergoing season-ending left knee surgery on Tuesday, the Cowboys worked out four running backs and one fullback at Valley Ranch.

Running backs Armando Allen, Curtis Brinkley, Delone Carter and Shaun Draughn, along with fullback Tyler Clutts, worked out.

Several of these players spent time with the Chicago Bears, Monday's opponent, like Clutts and Allen.

When Dunbar gets officially placed on injured reserve, the Cowboys will have an open roster spot to make way for a signing.

The Cowboys also have one open spot on their practice squad after quarterback Alex Tanney was signed by Cleveland last week.
