Terrance Williams on practice field

IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams was on the practice field for the first time this week because of a hamstring injury.

Williams took part in pat and go and other drills in the portion of practice that was open to the media. Williams suffered the injury in last week's loss to the Green Bay Packers.

“We'll see what he's able to do,” coach Jason Garrett said. "We respect the value of practice and preparing the right way fully every week but some guys given what the situation is they might not be able to go earlier in the week. Terrance had a good day yesterday. We'll see what he's able to do today and see what he's able to do the next couple of days leading up to the game."

Cornerback Brandon Carr missed his second straight day because of an illness. He was watching the practice from the office of the athletic trainers.

Wide receiver Dwayne Harris (hamstring), linebacker Sean Lee (neck), linebacker Ernie Sims (groin) and cornerback Morris Claiborne (hamstring) are also missing practice.
