IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne was limited in practice again Wednesday, participating only in individual drills, as the team tries to get him ready for the start of the regular season.
Claiborne had a strong start to training camp but has been sidelined most of the last three weeks with knee and shoulder issues.
"There have been some injury issues that have prevented him from practicing, but that's just what the situation is," coach Jason Garrett said. "You get that thing healthy, you come back as soon as you can come back and get as many reps as you can get to get ready for the season. It's as simple as that.
"We focus on controlling what we can control. We emphasize that to our players and coaches. In his case, it's simply try to get better and try to get back as quickly as you can."
