Cowboys pick up DE Lavar Edwards

IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys acquired defensive end Lavar Edwards from the Tennessee Titans for a conditional seventh-round pick in 2015, according to sources.

Edwards (6-foot-4, 277 pounds) was a fifth-round pick of the Titans last year. He had nine tackles in seven games as a rookie. He will have a chance to immediately contribute along the Cowboys’ defensive line.

Last year, the Cowboys picked up defensive linemen Edgar Jones (from Kansas City) and Caesar Rayford (from Indianapolis) on the final-cut weekend.
