IRVING, Texas – Signed in January as a nod to his status as a former second-round pick, defensive lineman Brian Price was waived (injured) by the Cowboys on Thursday.
Price was Tampa Bay’s second-round selection in 2010 but was slowed by pelvic injuries that required radical surgery. He was traded last year to Chicago but was cut and did not play in 2012. The Cowboys hoped he could fit into their new scheme, but the team decided to move on because of a shoulder injury. If he clears waivers, he would revert to the team's injured reserve list.
The Cowboys also waived quarterback Aaron Corp, who was signed Tuesday. The club needed an extra throwing arm for the on-field teaching sessions this week with Kyle Orton taking a few days off to attend to a personal matter.
