Bryant: 'I can't wait to get back in pads'

IRVING, Texas -- Michael Crabtree held out well into his rookie season after sliding in last year's draft. Dez Bryant slid much further than Crabtree and has a lot of the same people influencing him.

Like Crabtree, Bryant has Deion Sanders as a mentor, David Wells as an advisor and Eugene Parker as an agent. However, Bryant said at the combine that Crabtree's holdout shouldn't be considered an indication that he'd do the same thing.

"To be honest, I can’t wait to get back in pads," said Bryant, whose college career ended in September due to his NCAA suspension. "Most likely I will be there in camp."

The Cowboys have dealt with Parker, who represented Emmitt Smith and Sanders among others, a lot over the years and have a good relationship with him. He was the agent for their last two first-round picks, Felix Jones and Mike Jenkins, both of whom arrived at training camp during the opening week.
