I’ll keep this easy: Yes, a Super Bowl should come back to North Texas.
If you don’t want to take my word for it, then listen to two of Jerry Jones’ fellow owners. Robert Kraft and Daniel Snyder have endorsed the return of the big game for a second time.
The weather has been the unfortunate story of the week. First there was ice. Then there was snow. Add in a ton of cancelled flights, a number of cancelled events and this has not been the Super Bowl experience the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee had hoped to present to the world.
But it will all change Sunday. Cowboys Stadium will be the difference maker. The stadium will be like the quarterback delivering in a two-minute drill to win a game. More than likely there will be more fans at this Super Bowl than any of the previous 44 and that will mean more money in the pockets of the NFL and its owners.
That’s why it should be back.
And the next time the weather cannot be this bad. We promise.
