Garland Naaman Forest senior Krystal Johnson has signed a scholarship offer to play for SMU next season, Mustangs coach Rhonda Rompola said Wednesday.
"Krystal was one of the top scorers in the Metroplex, and is a true point-guard with the quickness and vision we need," Rompola said. "We are ecstatic to have Krystal as a Mustang."
Johnson, a 5-3 point guard, was the District 10-5A MVP and a member of the 5A All-Region team. She averaged 17.4 points and four assists while make two 3-pointers per game for Naaman Forest.
