DALLAS -- Dallas Skyline remained in contention for third place in District 9-5A with a 71-68 win over Dallas Lake Highlands on Friday at Forester Field House.
The Wildcats were down 36-28 at the half, but battled back to tie the score at 66 with three minutes remaining in the game.
A made free throw put Skyline up by three with 13 seconds left, and the Raiders held on.
"It was a battle like we knew it would be," Skyline coach Stanford Hill Jr. said. "Every time we've played them we've had a lead and they've battled back. Credit to them because they don't give up."
The loss drops third-place Lake Highlands to 8-5 in district play, with fourth-place Skyline moving to 7-5. Lake Highlands has one game left and Skyline has two.
If the teams finish in a tie, Skyline owns the tie-breaker because it swept the season series.
