Area athletes making noise at UA practices

Here are other area participants making noise at the Under Armour All-America Game practices, via practice reports in Orlando from Scouts Inc.

  • Linebacker Aaron Benson (Cedar Hill) looks impressive in pass coverage. Benson had a few nice pass breakups.

  • Texas commit Taylor Bible (DT, Denton Guyer) is the quickest of the defensive tackles.

  • Future LSU Tiger Evan Washington (OT, DeSoto) struggled a bit off the edge on Day 1 with more athletic linemen, but showed flashes of great strength and has very good upside as a potential right tackle. On Day 2, on Day 2, he showed that strength when he got inside hand placement, taking away the inside move on the pass rush and anchoring the bull rush. Observed Billy Tucker of Scouts Inc.: "For a kid who didn't start playing football until his junior year, he's realizing his upside quickly."

  • Arlington's Darius White will put his top-ranked receiver status on the line during Saturday's All-America Game in St. Petersburg, Fla. He has been going against top defenders this past week in practice in Orlando, and they've all been looking to make a statement against the best. Click here to read how motivated he's been.

  • Future Longhorn, corner Adrian White (DB, DeSoto), had quickest T-step and is very fluid with his feet in his back peddle.
