DFW linebackers drawing rave reviews

The Metroplex is loaded with blue-chip prospects at linebacker, Gerry Hamilton of ESPN Recruiting says.

In fact, the Lone Star State's talented junior group boasts a number of nationally recruited prospects, a 2011 Under Armour All-American and one school that features three elite linebacker prospects.

Among the local representatives at outside linebacker: Skyline's Anthony Wallace, Arlington Martin's Deryck Gildon, Lancaster's Trey Brown, Skyline's Franklin Shannon, North Richland Hills' Nico Ornelas and Plano West's Nathan Broussard.

At inside linebacker, the Dallas/Fort Worth area continues to be a force with Dallas Episcopal's Rob Hankins, Allen's Melvin Spears and Arlington's Laderice Sanders.

Others to watch: Euless Trinity's Jonathan Yenga, Woodrow Wilson's Chad Polk and Carrollton Newman Smith's Jeremy Stallworth.
