Blair's a bright spot for Spurs

DALLAS -- There isn't much that this game will indicate about the upcoming playoff series pitting the Interstate 35 rivals.

But one thing is much clearer than the River Walk water: DeJuan Blair gives the Mavs' big men fits.

The Spurs' rookie wide body needed only 17 minutes of playing time to get a double-double. He had 15 points and 11 rebounds in the first half.

The Mavs still are in control, taking a 56-46 lead into halftime. But banging with Blair for a seven-game series probably doesn't seem like much fun for Brendan Haywood and Erick Dampier.
