Avery Johnson apparently won't coach 76ers

It looks like Avery Johnson's next job won't be as coach of the Philadelphia 76ers.

A source told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher that the 76ers are negotiating a contract with TNT analyst Doug Collins, who has had three previous NBA coaching jobs.

That doesn't mean Johnson, who was fired by the Mavericks after the 2007-08 season, will remain an ESPN analyst. He is still a candidate for openings with the Atlanta Hawks and New Orleans Hornets.
