Wizards end drought with game-winner

DALLAS -- The Mavs' fringe players held the Wizards scoreless for almost five minutes in the fourth quarter.

The drought ended when Washington guard Lester Hudson drained a 3-pointer over Dee Brown with 2.5 seconds remaining.

Wizards 97, Mavs 94. Overtime avoided.

The Mavs had dominated garbage time until that point, going on a 14-0 run to briefly tie it up on Dominique Jones' jumper. But an off-balance 3-pointer by Adam Haluska -- no need to remember that name -- fell well short at the buzzer.
