DALLAS -- The Mavericks led by 20, but these are the Mavs so it didn't take long for the Milwaukee Bucks to go on an 11-0 run and cut it to nine. Still, Dallas, dominant for all but about three minutes of the first half, take a 52-43 lead into the locker room.
As lethargic as the Bucks were for a quarter-and-a-half, you'd have thought they played last night on the West Coast. But, they played at home Saturday, so they shouldn't be tired, but the Mavs ran circles around them and led by 10 after the first quarter.
Give the Mavs credit. The defense was active and the offense has again spread the wealth. All five starters scored early and nine players have scored between two and 15 points. Dirk Nowitzki is the high scorer with Shawn Marion coming off the bench for eight points on 4-of-5 shooting.
Jason Kidd has six points, seven assists and six rebounds, two more than his season average.
Andrew Bogut is the Bucks' leading scorer with 12 points and Milwaukee's bench has outscored the starters 24-19.
