Late 3s not dropping for Barea ... or Durant

Mavericks guard J.J. Barea has made it onto the same short list as Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant.

Unfortunately for Barea -- and especially for Durant -- it's not the sort of list you ever want to be on.

Barea and Durant, according to the Elias Sports Bureau, have struggled from 3-point range in fourth quarters more than any other frequent 3-point takers in the league.

Among players who've hoisted at least 20 triples in the fourth quarter this season, Barea has the lowest conversion rate (2-for-27 for an unsightly reading of 7.4 percent) … with Durant stunningly right behind him at 4-for-25 (16 percent).

New York's Toney Douglas (also 4-for-25) is tied with Durant behind Barea, with Houston’s Chase Budinger at 5-for-29 (17.2 percent).
