If J.J. Barea goes, who's available?

Of the 16 players currently listed on the Dallas Mavericks' 15-man roster, two are point guards: Jason Kidd and J.J. Barea.

Only one, Kidd, is signed for next season. Barea, an unrestricted free agent, wants to return. But what if he doesn't? Where do the Mavs turn for a backup who must be able to play at least 20 minutes a game and maintain an up-tempo offensive attack?

Rodrigue Beaubois and Dominique Jones don't appear to be reliable answers quite yet. So if Barea goes, Dallas would probably have to jump into free agency for a backup point guard. It is not a significantly deep pool of candidates.
