LOS ANGELES -- There's more people at Staples Center trying to spot unknown Kardashians and staring at iPhone screens than keeping their focus on the court. This is downright ugly.
The Lakers went from the 6:58 mark to 17.5 seconds left scoring a single point. As detrimental as that might sound, they only trail by five points heading into the final 12 minutes. League rules require they get played.
Dirk Nowitzki started the quarter hot and had seven points for a game-high 15. Kobe Bryant didn't score in the third and has eight points on 4-of-15 shooting. The Mavs are shooting 34.4 percent, the Lakers 32.8.
The final tally in the third was Mavs 16, Lakers 7.
