Summer squad wraps practice, headed to Vegas

DALLAS -- The Dallas Mavericks' Summer League team finished its second full practice Friday at American Airlines Center and will depart for Las Vegas on Saturday.

Their first game is at 5 p.m. Sunday against the Denver Nuggets and will be broadcast on NBA TV.

The Mavs' team is lead by third-year guard Dominique Jones and includes draft picks Jared Cunningham, Jae Crowder and Bernard James.

"They’re getting a lot thrown at them in a short period of time and they’re doing well," coach Rick Carlisle said. "This is a great opportunity for them, and a precursor to playing in this league is doing Summer League and getting a taste of what our core things are offensively and defensively."

Here's a look at the Mavs' full summer roster (and schedule below):

Head coach: Monte Mathis, Toledo

Assistant coaches: Mike Shedd, Purdue; Darrell Armstrong, Fayetteville State; Mike Weinar, Florida.
