Brandan Wright's twisted ankle 'not believed to be serious'

Add another Mavs big man to the injury report.

With Dirk Nowitzki and Chris Kaman recovering at home, Brandan Wright twisted his left ankle during Wednesday night's preseason loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Wright did not return to the game.

“Not believed to be serious, but you know we’ll let you know," coach Rick Carlisle said. "We weren’t going to bring him back in either way.”

Wright had 11 points and five rebounds when he suffered the injury during the third quarter. He started the second half alongside Elton Brand, a glimpse of the lineup Carlisle could go with if Kaman doesn't recover from his strained calf in time to play in Tuesday's season opener.

This is the second minor injury Wright has dealt with during training camp. He missed a few days with a strained quad early in camp.
