Shawn Marion still out with MCL sprain

DALLAS -- Dallas Mavericks forward Shawn Marion did not participate in shootaround and is out of Monday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It will be the fourth consecutive game that Marion has missed since suffering a sprained left MCL on Nov. 5 against Portland.

Marion is averaging eight points and nine rebounds a game this season. He was the club's leading rebounder last season, with 7.4 per game.

Marion's injury has meant more playing time for Jae Crowder, who likely starts tonight. Elton Brand has also seen his minutes increase.

Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said there was no update on Marion's injury.
