Stock report: Dirk up, Dalembert down

Our weekly look at which Mavs stocks have fallen and risen the most:

Dirk Nowitzki: The big German averaged 22 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists on the four-game road trip, shooting 48.5 percent from the floor and 50 percent from 3-point range. He’s been at his best in the fourth quarter of close games, a sure sign that he’s feeling strong physically. Nowitzki has had double-digit fourth-quarter point totals in the Mavs’ last three wins.

Samuel Dalembert: The demoted big man averaged only 2.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 0.8 blocks in 16.7 minutes per game during the road trip. He’s never going to be an explosive scorer, but he’s in an awful offensive funk, making only three of his last 13 shots from the floor. The lowlight was a missed wide-open layup on what should have been an uncontested dunk against Golden State. Has Dalembert’s confidence been damaged by his demotion from the starting lineup?
