Jameer Nelson (shoulder) out vs. Pelicans

DALLAS -- Mavericks starting point guard Jameer Nelson will not play in Wednesday night's game against the New Orleans Pelicans due to a jammed right shoulder.

Nelson scored a season-high 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range, in Tuesday's loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. However, he did not play in the fourth quarter and had his shoulder heavily bandaged after the game.

Nelson, who missed three games at the end of November due to back spasms, is averaging 7.8 points and 4.4 assists per game.

Mavs shooting guard Monta Ellis will play against the Pelicans despite a sore right elbow. Ellis scored a season-low two points on 1-of-11 shooting in Tuesday's loss.
