Chandler, Ellis expect to play vs. Wizards

DALLAS – The Dallas Mavericks expect to have their full starting five for Tuesday night’s game against the Washington Wizards.

Center Tyson Chandler (back) and shooting guard Monta Ellis (ankle) both participated in shootaround and plan to play.

Ellis severely twisted his left ankle -- which has a plate and screws in it from a surgery to repair the damage done in a 2008 moped accident -- with 1:57 remaining in Sunday’s win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Ellis, who has played in 196 consecutive games, vowed that night that he wouldn't miss any games and didn't appear to be favoring his ankle as he went through his normal shooting (and singing) routine.

Chandler’s back locked up Sunday morning, causing him to miss a game for the first time this season.

“I’m feeling all right,” Chandler said. “Still a little soreness, but a lot better than the way I felt the other day.”
