Brek Shea wonder goal earns FCD win in Toronto

FC Dallas earned all three points on the road in Toronto on the back of a Brek Shea wonder goal and Kevin Hartman's 11th shutout of the season. Shea scored his 9th goal (and 5th game winner) of the season before a crowd of 21, 000 at BMO Field in Toronto to give FCD the 1-0 victory. Shea remain 2nd in MLS tied with Landon Donovan, 1 goal behind Thierry Henry's 10.

Shea started the play by stealing the ball off a TFC player in the FCD end of the field. After poking the ball to Daniel Hernandez and getting it right back Shea dribbled a good third of the field before hitting a cracker of a shot. "I just followed the guy who was dribbling," said Shea after the game. "I was able to poke it from him to Danny [Hernandez], kind of play the one-two with Danny, beat one player, kept going and just took a shot. I happened to make a good connection; it went off the post and went in."

Hartman made six saves in the game to grab his 11th shutout behind yet another solid FCD defensive performance. Hartman's goal against is down to 0.90

FC Dallas continues its road trip with New York up next, as the team travels to the Big Apple to take on Red Bull New York at 5 p.m. CT on Saturday.
