Bachman is 5-2-0 with a 2.60 goals against average and .916 save percentage in eight appearances since being recalled from the AHL due to an injury to Kari Lehtonen.
"He's had some encouraging signs the last three days," said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. "The swelling has gone out of it. It's not broke, but it's a bone bruise. He's walking a little bit better and once he can start walking without a limp he can start skating."
Souray is out with a sprained ankle suffered in he second period of Friday's 6-3 victory over Nashville.
"He's going to be evaluated back here today," said Gulutzan.
The defense pairings in this morning's skate in Frisco were:
Forward Toby Petersen, who has been a healthy scratch the last two games and six of the last eight, will probably be in the lineup on the fourth line. With Souray and Robidas out, Petersen can help out on the point on the power play.
"He's the one forward that can play minutes on defense, especially on the power play," Gulutzan said. "With six D, it's always good to have a little bit of insurance. If he can do that and be on your fourth line, too, that's a good thing."
