Philip Larsen out Tuesday, Jordie Benn in

Stars coach Glen Gulutzan said Monday at practice that Philip Larsen will miss Tuesday's game against the Detroit Red Wings with concussion-like symptoms.

Gulutzan called the symptoms "very, very mild," and added that Larsen should be back on the ice in a few days.

That means Jordie Benn, brother of Stars' forward Jamie Benn, will play.

"He's going to get a well-deserved opportunity," Gulutzan said.

Benn, 24, was tied for the lead in scoring among defensemen for Texas of the AHL with seven goals and eight assists in 31 games. He has four of those seven goals on the power play.

Tuesday would be his NHL debut after signing a one-year free agent deal in July. He played 60 games for the Texas Stars last season and impressed Gulutzan with how he improved over the course of the season.
