Stars shuffle lines

With Jamie Benn (appendix) and Mike Ribeiro (knee) out of the lineup, Stars coach Glen Gulutzan is having to shuffle his forward lines for tonight’s game at St. Louis. Here’s what he’s expecting to rollout against the Blues:

Gulutzan will also make some changes to power play personnel as well, putting together a unit that will Radek Dvorak, Vernon Fiddler and Michael Ryder up front.

“When we’re 13 percent of 27th in the league, all bets are off because the job is not up to standards,” said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. “Our power play hasn’t been atrocious, we just haven’t been able to score and sometimes it takes an ugly one to kick start those things.”

Kari Lehtonen will get the start tonight and Richard Bachman will start tomorrow night when the Stars host the Detroit Red Wings at American Airlines Center.

“Kari is going tonight. He feels good,” said Gulutzan. “Bachs is going to get the start tomorrow. We’re going to stick with our plan and go from there.”

The Stars have placed Ribeiro on injured reserve retroactive to January 7.

Benn, who had his appendix removed yesterday, is said to be doing fine today.
