FRISCO -- It looks like the Dallas Stars could get Mike Ribeiro back for Tuesday's game against the Anaheim Ducks, but captain Brenden Morrow won't play.
Ribeiro, who has missed the last seven games with an MCL tear, practiced Monday and if everything is fine after Tuesday morning's skate he should be a player.
"Ribby is pretty close," said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. "He practiced today and we'll see how he is for tomorrow."
During Monday's practice Ribeiro centered a line with Loui Eriksson and Michael Ryder.
"If I can be ready tomorrow, bring some energy and something different to the team then I'll do that," Ribeiro said. "We'll see after tomorrow morning. If I feel like today I will probably be in."
Morrow will sit out Tuesday's game with a neck injury. Gulutzan said it is not a long-term issue.
Matt Fraser, called up Sunday from the Texas Stars, is expected to play and will be making his NHL debut.
