Richard Bachman will get the nod in goal when the Dallas Stars play at Vancouver on Tuesday night. It will be Bachman's second start in the last seven games. In his last start he stopped 26 of 27 shots in a 3-1 victory at Chicago on February 23.
"If you look at our schedule down the road we'll probably rely on Kari [Lehtonen] quite extensively for a lot of the time," said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. "This is a day with travel -- we've got to travel back to play San Jose (Thursday) -- it sets up good to play Bacher."
Bachman is 7-3-1 with a 2.58 goals against average and .916 save percentage this season.
Gulutzan said forward Toby Petersen, who traveled back to Dallas over the weekend for the birth of his third child, will stay in Dallas and rejoin the team after it returns from this road trip.
