LOS ANGELES -- Barring a trade, the Stars' final pick of the NHL Draft is defenseman John Klingberg (No. 131 overall) from Sweden.
He played for Frolunda last season and had five assists in 27 games with 32 penalty minutes. He had one goal in five playoff games. He's 6-foot, 157 pounds. So he'll need to beef up a little. He's a right-handed shooter.
"He started to come on at the second half of the season last year," said Kari Takko, a Stars European scout. "His attributes are a lot like Philip Larsen's. He needs to fill out a little bit, but he's a good two-way defenseman."
