About the Stars

The Stars (5-3-0) fell to 0-2-0 on their current homestand with a 5-2 loss to Anaheim on Tuesday. The Stars have scored just two goals on 67 shots in the two losses.

“We have to be more realistic. Just because we step onto the ice doesn't mean we're going to score goals. It takes more work than that,” said Dallas center Brad Richards. “We're getting frustrated but you have to stay with it. It's mental toughness of the team.”

The Stars will be without defenseman Stephane Robidas, who is serving a one-game suspension for a boarding penalty he took in Tuesday’s game.

The Stars recalled defenseman Philip Larsen from Texas of the AHL on Wednesday.

Kari Lehtonen will make his ninth straight start in goal for the Stars.

Injuries: Stephane Robidas (suspension)

About the Kings

The Kings (6-3-0) are coming off a 3-1 loss in Chicago Wednesday night. The Kings could only get one puck past Chicago goalie Marty Turco, who made 33 saves.

"We had our chances," Kings coach Terry Murray said. "In the latter part of the second and early part of the third, there were excellent looks. They either had people in position or the goaltender made the stop. Sometimes you get second and third whacks at it, and it doesn't bounce the right way for you."

Los Angeles is 2-2-0 in the first four games of its five-game road trip, which ends Thursday in Dallas.

Injuries: D Drew Doughty (concussion) and F Scott Parse (groin) are out.
