Here’s an update on Dallas Stars prospects playing in juniors, college and Europe. This update is on players not taking part in the World Junior Championship in Buffalo, New York.
*F Scott Glennie (Brandon/WHL) has points in 21 of his last 26 games and has registered 12 goals and 23 assists during that stretch. Glennie now has 43 points (14 goals, 29 assists) in 38 games this season.
*RW Reilly Smith had 1 goal and 3 assists in 2 games for Miami University at the Florida College Classic over the weekend. Miami defeated Maine 4-1 and then lost 4-3 to St. Cloud State in the tournament championship game. Smith has 26 points (13 goals, 13 assists) and a plus-15 rating in 19 games this season.
*RW Alex Chiasson missed Boston University’s game on Sunday due to what is being described as a knee contusion he suffered in a game on Saturday. He’s expected to return when BU resumes play this weekend.
*D Mike Bergin (RPI) is tied for 3rd in defenseman scoring in the ECAC with 11 points (2 goals, 9 assists) in 18 games.
*F Alex Guptill returned to action for Waterloo (USHL) after missing two months with an undisclosed injury. He picked up a goal in his second game back, giving him 3 goals in 9 games played this season.
