Tight West Division
The Texas Stars are in the middle of a tight race in the AHL’s West Division, where at least four teams will qualify for the playoffs and possibly a fifth. Right now there are seven teams in the hunt and they are currently separated by just six points in the standings. Through Monday’s games, the Stars are sixth based on points, but third based on points percentage.
“Our division is pretty tight. It’s pretty unbelievable there,” said forward Tomas Vincour, who was just called up to the Dallas Stars. “Every game is so important to get those two points. One day you are in second place, the next day you are in first and then you are in sixth a few days later. It’s pretty crazy.”
