Steve Ott's status for Tuesday up in the air

FRISCO -- Stars forward Steve Ott, who has missed the last five games with a hip pointer, practiced with the team Monday morning in Frisco and is close to returning to the lineup. But whether he'll return for Tuesday's game against Florida at American Airlines Center is still up in the air.

"It's going to be a game-time decision tomorrow," Stars coach Glen Gulutzan said. "He's very, very close. He's a for sure for Friday. I'd say it's pretty close for tomorrow. He skated the last couple days at home. He's feeling pretty good. I think the only thing is his conditioning. If we waited until Friday he's going to be as close as he can get to 100 percent. I'd say he's pretty close to 90-95 percent right now. We'll see how that goes tomorrow in the morning."

Ott hasn't played since the October 29 game against New Jersey.

"I am definitely feeling a lot, lot better," said Ott. "I am excited to get back. I need to get my conditioning back up and the rest of my level, the pace. Sitting out as little time as I have, you still lose it even if it is three days or two weeks. We'll see."

Kari Lehtonen will get the start in goal Tuesday vs. Florida.
