Murphy goes deep, gives Rangers lead

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Rangers' lumber indeed awake from their slumber in the seventh inning.

David Murphy pulled a 1-2 pitch over the right-center fence for a two-run homer to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead over the Royals.

It was the second spring homer for Murphy, who started in right field because Nelson Cruz was scratched due to a sore thumb.

That was one of four hits in the inning for the Rangers, who hadn't had a hit since Julio Borbon led off the bottom of the first with an infield single.
