Feldman (1-0, 2.57 ERA): The right-hander will make his third consecutive outing in a day game, this time on 5 days' rest thanks to the off day in Cleveland. He pitched seven innings in each of his first two starts this season, getting his first win the Rangers' 6-2 victory against Seattle on Sunday. He's 2-1 with a 3.72 ERA in four career games against the Yankees (19 1/3 innings pitched) and is 2-1 with a 2.37 ERA in three starts (19 innings). This is Feldman's first road game of the season. He won 12 games away from Arlington in 2009, tied for the Major League lead.
Burnett (1-0, 3.75 ERA): Burnett got his first win of the season against Tampa Bay earlier this week, going seven innings and allowing two runs on six hits. He had three walks and one strikeout. He was more efficient (92 pitches in seven innings) after going just five innings (94 pitches) against Boston in his first start of the season. Burnett is 3-3 with a 4.39 ERA in the last three seasons against Texas. He's 1-2 with a 4.13 ERA in four career starts against Texas in New York.
Hitters: Burnett has held Vladimir Guerrero to a .214 batting average (9-for-42) lifetime against him. Josh Hamilton (4-for-11) and Ryan Garko (5-for-12) have hit Burnett better in limited at-bats. Curtis Granderson is 4-for-6 with three homers and six RBIs against Feldman. Derek Jeter has two hits in nine at-bats versus Feldman, but both were homers.
