Wilson, fielding put Rangers in 4-1 hole

HOUSTON -- Rangers starter C.J. Wilson is struggling with his control through two innings in the finale of the Lone Star Series.

Wilson has allowed four runs, two earned, as the Rangers trail, 4-1.

In the first, Wilson allowed a leadoff single to Jeff Keppinger, who advanced to second on a passed ball by catcher Max Ramirez. Lance Berkman hit a fastball belt hight to right to drive in the first run. Berkman came in on a RBI single by Carlos Lee to push the lead to 2-0.

Things didn't get better in the second.

After the Rangers got a run, thanks to Ramirez driving in a run on a ground-rule double, Wilson allowed a leadoff single to Pedro Feliz. Tommy Manzella sent a shot down the right field line, only it wasn't a single. Right fielder Vladimir Guerrero misplayed the ball sending it to the wall and moving Feliz home and Manzella to third. Guerrero was credited with an error, his second of the season.

With the infield in for Humberto Quintero, Wilson might have crossed up Ramirez because the pitch sailed high off the catcher's glove to the backstop. It brought in Manzella to make the score 4-1.

After two innings, the Rangers have one error and two passed balls, and Wilson has allowed four runs on five hits.
