ARLINGTON, Texas -- There's still a chance for the Rangers to send a franchise-record six players to the All-Star Game. But it's up to the fans.
Michael Young is among five players trying to earn enough online votes from fans to go to the game as the final AL player. Young is competing with OF Delmon Young (Twins), 1B Paul Konerko (White Sox), OF Nick Swisher (Yankees) and 1B Kevin Youkilis (Red S0x).

The Rangers' campaign for Young is titled: I Like Mike. As for some debate points in Young's favor:
* He was the All-Star Game MVP in 2006, hitting a game-winning two-run triple off San Diego's Trevor Hoffman in the top of the ninth to win the game in Pittsburgh.
* He is the only player in All-Star Game history to twice drive in the winning run in his team's final at-bat. He also did it in 2008, hitting a walk-off sacrifice fly in the 15th inning in 2008 at Yankee Stadium.
* He has played in six consecutive All-Star Games.
