Orioles break up no-hitter, shutout

Tommy Hunter's no-hitter and shutout came to an abrupt end in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Brian Roberts led off with a fly ball that right fielder David Murphy appeared to misread, and the ball fell just out of a diving Murphy's reach for a double. Nick Markakis then bounced a ball past second baseman Andres Blanco to plate Roberts.

Neither ball was well hit, and Hunter didn't let it bother him. He proceeded to set down the Orioles' 3-4-5 hitters, Ty Wigginton, Luke Scott and Corey Patterson. He's needed just 37 pitches to get through the first four innings.

Orioles starter Kevin Millwood needed 53 pitches to get through four.

The Rangers lead, 3-1.
